Motorcycle Direct's "Show us your pics!" section is taking off, as bike lovers fill the site with a mixture of the beautiful and the bizarre.
Enthusiasts such as Amy are featured with their rides and those models they want in the future...in this case an R6.
You can also catch models of a different kind, as the pictures from the NEC's bike show reveal!
See some of the heavyweights of the biking world in pictures from the World Super Bike 2005 at Brands Hatch, or get a glimpse of the Kawasaki 636 being put through its paces.
The thing that ties the gallery together is they are all contributions from fans, with the site designed to capture a cross-section of the biking community.

Description: Here are some pics of my husband's chopper. His dream has always been of building his own motorcycle and he finally did it. He is an over the road truck driver so he doesn't have a lot of time and he has been working on this chopper for almost a year now but he is done finished. But the pics really don't do it justice. It is really a beautiful bike.

Description: I was riding towards the rain filled skies and thought it was really beautiful with the yellow rape fields against the dark clouds. As I returned to my bike from taking a few pictures I found a perfect rainbow ending right above my bike. A remarkable moment and the rain that followed did not bother me at all!

Description: This is me at Essex MX at the www.adrenalintrip.co.uk forum meet on my 2001 Honda CR125. I've currently got a CBT and ride a classical 1984 DT 125LC, which I'm insured on through MotorCycle Direct and I have to say, they are the best insurance company I've ever come across. I hope to soon have a Honda CRF 450 on the road and which I can do super moto on.

Description: Waiting to get on to the seacat to go to Dublin to have a great weekend with my mates.(I didn't see another Yammy TDM 850 there) We went to a little village 10 miles outside Dublin to watch a mini TT race on a 3 mile course. There were 12 events doing about 10 laps per event. Lasted all day, great hospitality going again next year, coming?

Description: Here is a picture of trail riding in Mid Wales. You might be surprised to know that this is an ancient road so bikes need to be road legal to use it. I usually ride a Yamaha Lanza DT230 for trail riding. I have a Diversion for the road, and an enduro sidecar with a KTM LC4 620 engine in a VMC chassis, which is road registered, for competition and trail riding. Unfortunately I broke my leg whilst competing recently!

Description: This is a picture of me in the MRO Powerbikes in 2004. It was my first race on the Mille as a test ride to be in the team for 2005. I got told off by the team manager for wearing holes in the fairing but managed to get in. I then rode a GSXR1000 for them in 2005.

Description: Yes I do look about 12 but i'm actually 16. I did my CBT the day I turned 16 and have been globetrotting with the huge 50cc engine ever since. I've got my name on the reg plate too, just to make it personal. You have provided my insurance so cheaply for my 1st and (quoted) my 2nd year that even in the second year with a one years no claims no other insurers can come close to the my first years premium with you....that's handy since i'm paying it out my wages!

Description: My friend's GSXR1000 a few days after he bought it. He told me I had to take it easy and don't accelerate too fast because the front wheel might come up. His face when I shot past on the back wheel was a better picture than the wheelie!

29/08/08 - Biker helps hospital that helped him. A biker from Norwich who required a heart transplant is planning to raise money for the hospital that treated him.
29/08/08 - Fire service to liaise with bikers. Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue is trialling a new rescue response motorbike to enable it to better engage with the biker community.
28/08/08 - Bikers raise cash for rescuers. Burnham motorcyclists are to stage a fundraising bike ride for a local rescue service, it is reported.
