Waggon & Horses pub

Meal from the Waggon & Horses pub

Owned since 2001 by the present owners, Wendy and John Burke, the Waggon & Horses has earned a reputation for being a friendly venue for both locals and bikers alike. This traditional style pub has acquired a large customer base over the years, and with a varied menu offering pub favourites (not forgetting their famous Sunday roasts) - all at extremely reasonable prices, making this the perfect stop for those travelling to or around the famous spa city of Bath.

The Waggon & Horses offers a selection of all the finest beers and ciders, while Friday nights are widely anticipated for featuring live music. As the owners explain, where else could you get locals and bikers up dancing and singing together?

It is also the home of the family bike club, the Waggoneers MCC, which was founded in 2009. They are actively involved in fundraising for various charities and in 2013 they raised nearly ?2,900 for the Air Ambulance and over ?1,000 for Lupus UK.

As well as Waggoneers MCC, there are also other clubs which can cater for different tastes from Warhammer, Cribbage, pool, skittles and more. In addition, there is a large function room which is available for private hire for large parties.

They have recently had BT Sport installed and are in the process of getting Sky fitted, so hopefully they will be able to cater for all sporting tastes.

There is a large car park at the rear of the property with a beer garden, patio area and smoking shelter and there is also a seating area to the front which is a real sun trap in the summer.
