In the Supersport practice the fastest lap came from Lee Johnstone at 18:20.742 followed by Michael Dokoupill and Gary Johnson. Next came the Sidecar, with John Holden and his partner Andrew raking in a time of 19:51.942, a fair few seconds ahead of the 2nd fastest pairing.
On Thursday it was the turn of the Superbike, Superstock, Supersport, Newcomers (all classes except LW), Supersport, Lightweight and Newcomers and the Sidecars again. In the Superbike practice, Michael Dunlop again took the fastest lap at 17:06.164, and was similarly followed by Ian Hutchinson and John McGuinness. Dunlop was also fastest in the Superstock practice this time followed by Michael Rutter and Ivan Lintin. Lastly in the Sidecars practice Tim Reeves and his partner Patrick pulled in the fastest lap of the day in this class.
On Friday there were practice sessions for the Superbike, Superstock, Supersport, Newcomers and Sidecar. The Superbike round fastest lap came from Michael Dunlop, yet again trailed by Ian Hutchinson. The pair have been strong contenders throughout practice week. In the Superstock it was the other way round with the fastest lap by Ian Hutchinson and Michael Dunlop. In the Supersport practice Dean Harrison pulled in the fastest lap of the day followed by Connor Cummins and then John McGuinness. Lastly came the Sidecar practice where the fastest duo were John Holden and his partner Andrew repeating Wednesday's outcome.
Isle of Man TT 2016 - Sidecar

On Saturday 4th June the Superstock, Supersport and Lightweight Race day practice took place. There was also the dramatic Sidecar TT, which was won in the end by duo John Holden and Andrew Winkle. In other news, it was a sad day for the IOM as unfortunately 2 competitors lost their lives on the opening day of the races. Dwight Beare and Paul Shoesmith both suffered fatal accidents. Condolences have been sent to family and friends from all areas of the racing world.

Isle of Man TT 2016 - Sidecar

On Monday the Supersport TT 1 took place with Ian Hutchinson securing first place victory. Taking 2nd place on the podium was Dean Harrison, closely followed by James Hillier. It turned out to be a very close finish with the top 3 all finishing within a second even less of each other. Hutchinson secured first place with an impressive ride. Also on Monday was the Superstock TT which resulted in the same podium finish order as the Supersport with Ian Hutchinson claiming victory again. This means the top 3 had double podium finishes that day. The winning time was a very impressive 1:09:47.543. It was a matter of a second between 1st and 2nd with the same gap between 2nd and 3rd. A very tight finish indeed, but a huge success for the 3 riders to go away with.

The IOM TT carries on until Friday with more action coming from today's races including the Supersport TT 2, Lightweight TT and Zero TT. On Friday we can look forward to the Sidecar TT 2 and the Poker Stars Senior TT, a highlight of the two weeks. Be sure to not miss out on any of the action and follow the screening times below.
