The Honda World Superbike Team are confident about their chances as they head to the circuit in Monza this weekend (May 4th).
Marking the fourth round in the World Superbike Championships, it is the 21st occasion the Monza track will be used in the competition.
The circuit in Italy was opened in 1922 and has 5.7km of twists and turns, with an average laptime of 200kph.
Honda rider Jonathan Rea is confident after his first race win at Assen in the third round but added that the route has a number of unique challenges.
"It's a unique race, which has developed into a bit of a horsepower battle between manufacturers, but I've been involved in a couple of first turn crashes in the last two years," he explained.
"I'm really looking forward to being back in Italy – I love racing there."
Qualifying rounds take place on Friday May 4th and Saturday May 5th, with both races held on Sunday May 6th.
