Samsung Honda team ready for Oulton Park

The Samsung Honda team is getting ready for three days of competition at Oulton Park.

Jon Kirkham and Michael Laverty will be taking on the challenging Cheshire circuit as part of the British Superbike Championships.

Kirkham will be starting from the front and hopes to build on his current third place standing, while Laverty has a little more work to do from his spot in the eight row of the grid.

"Oulton Park should be good for us and I am looking forward to getting back out on the Samsung Honda at what is one of my personal favourite tracks," said Kirkham.

He explained that having achieved previous wins in the Superstock class he is keen to translate that success into Superbike results – luckily he is already a great position for that.

Laverty was also optimistic, claiming that the Cheshire circuit has plenty of passing places, but conceded that it will be a tough race.
