MotorCycle Direct promotes biker Safety Days
MotorCycle Direct is positively encouraging Rider Performance Safety Days to help reduce the number of motorcyclists involved in collisions on the road.
The safety days are aimed at making motorcyclists more 'road aware' and therefore less likely to be injured in accidents. Ultimately, fewer accidents could also reduce motorcycle insurance costs for everyone.
The Rider Performance Safety Days are held at the Castle Combe Circuit in Wiltshire. There are two days planned this year, on the following dates:
- Wednesday 30th May
- Wednesday 5th September
To show their support for the scheme, MotorCycle Direct is offering its customers, and anyone who has obtained a bike quote from their website, a 10% discount on any of the above training sessions which normally cost £99 for the day.
The safety days are open to all bikers and any type of machine so it doesn't matter whether you're a novice or you've got years of riding experience. The idea is to foster good habits - or eliminate bad ones - with the help of a team of experts.
The training is provided as a series of workshops that offer guidance on:
- Machine handling
- Observation
- Planning
- Braking and Avoidance Skills
- Vehicle Maintenance
- Smart Riding
The theory is backed up with plenty of practice on the Castle Combe Circuit where bikers are helped to improve their overall riding attitude as well as skills like cornering, braking and overtaking.
