Scooters and bikes need to be secured, say police
Police have warned motorbike and scooter owners in Ware and Hertford to be wary of thieves targeting their vehicles.
Three bikes were stolen from gardens across Ware this month, and local police are concerned that the thieves may strike again soon, according to the Welwyn & Hatfield Times.

They are advising motorcyclists to equip their bikes with an immobiliser or an alarm, and to always secure them with a good quality lock and chain.
A police spokesman commented: "If possible, please keep your bike hidden from view, but don't assume that because it is in your rear garden, it's safe."
Police are also warning motorcyclists to security mark their vehicles, so they can be more easily recovered if they do get stolen.
It is also advisable to have a good bike insurance policy, just in case the worst should happen.
