Sergeant Mark Eley commented: "I found the week to be a very valuable and enjoyable time.
"I had the chance to speak to the youths on a personal level and could begin to see and understand some of the problems they face, I will find this insight invaluable when working within the community at Thamesmead."
The officers who took part were all members of Bexley police's excellent motorcycle team, who monitor the borough's parks and open spaces.
It is their responsibility to track down irresponsible off-road and mini-bike riders who commit offences such as riding recklessly, or not having bike insurance.
