New top end tyre from Dunlop
Dunlop has launched a new tyre set aimed at 600cc and 1000cc sportbikes.
According to the firm, the new Sportmax Qualifier is the road-going version of the Dunlop GP race tyre and will sit between the D220ST and the D208RR.
What the manufacturer describes as "extended longitudinal grooves" offer better performance in the wet than the GP tyre, while the curved grip promises resistance to braking, cornering and acceleration forces at a variety of angles.

The firm claims that the design will avoid stepped wear and that the compound has been selected to offer a balance between grip and longevity.
Available in a range of sizes from 130/70 ZR16 to 120/70 ZR 17 for the front and 150/60 ZR17 to 190/50 ZR17 on the rear, the tyre should be available from November.
Dunlop currently produces a range of competition-bred tyres for a variety of motorsports. It is this technology that then filters down into the road going options such as the new Sportmax Qualifier.
Commenting on the tyre's racing heritage a company spokesperson said: "Our success in motorcycle sport is evidence of our advanced technology. Winning the World Supersport 125 GP and 250 GP titles in 2001, in addition to numerous national series across the globe."
