Wales to target biker issue
The Welsh assembly is targeting born-again-bikers after naming the group as a major threat to road safety.
In a statement released this week, deputy economic development and transport minister, Tamsin Dunwoody, unveiled plans for a campaign encouraging middle-aged motorbike owners to take a riding refresher course.
The scheme will be aimed at returning riders who have been out of the saddle for some time.

"We are hoping to do a campaign specifically on people who take up riding later in life to increase awareness of the safety needs and the risks, and encourage people to be responsible riders and enjoy it, rather than put themselves at risk," explained Ms Dunwoody.
According to the MP problems arise when motorcycle riders, who are used to the 250cc and 500cc machines of their youth, go out and spend money on modern day superbikes.
Ms Dunwoody suggested that these riders are taking to Wales' winding country roads then "opening up the throttle and killing themselves and having accidents".
The born-again biker campaign will be one of a number phased in over the winter that will target a variety of different road users and age groups.
However, educating aging motorbike riders will be a priority for the Welsh Assembly along with highlighting the dangers of drink driving over the festive season.
