Triumph releases 675 triple details
Triumph has released the specification for its new Daytona 675.
The three-cylinder, middleweight bike includes a brand-new compact 12 valve 675cc engine and a stacked six-speed gearbox, which the company says is the first "truly close ratio set-up" in a Triumph bike. The bike has a peak power of 125PS at 12,500 rpm.
Around the engine, Triumph has designed an open-back, fabricated aluminium cast-frame, which it says "accentuates further the benefits of the narrow three-cylinder design." The bike has its rake set at 23.5 degrees, and a trail of 86.8mms. It boasts a dry weight of 165kg.

"In the sports bike market many machines are seen almost as disposable by their owners and treated accordingly. In contrast Triumph's wish for the 675 Daytona was to create an exciting bike that owners will never tire of looking at, cherishing and above all else, riding," said the manufacturer.
"Added to this was a desire not only to build the most exciting and useable sports bike that's ever left the Hinckley factory, but also to steal the crown for the most beautiful sports bike in the market."
The Triumph Daytona 675 includes a digital instrument console and several colour options including "Scorched Yellow," "Tornado Red" and "Graphite Grey."
