Ducati unveils brutal Testastretta
Ducati has launched its new Monster S4Rs superbike, aimed at the most experienced riders and powered by its famous Testastretta engine.
The new street fighter motorcycle design has been based on experience gained in the World Superbike Championship. The bike comes fitted with an L-twin Testastretta engine, allowing a reduced angle between the intake and exhaust valves.
Ducati claims that the engine's clean, compact combustion chamber is highly efficient, with specially designed heads guaranteeing pulling power throughout the rev range.

The Testastretta engine features a piston stroke of 63.5 mm and a bore of 100 mm, leading to increased RPM and improved overall reliability. The Ducati Testastretta has previously been reserved solely for the manufacturer's competition bikes.
The chassis and running gear include fully adjustable Ohlins suspension at both ends, Y-shaped spoke rims to improve rigidity and handling, as well as 320 mm twin disc Brembo brakes, with radial-mounted callipers.
The bike's carbon fibre silencer cover, exhaust heat plate, front mudguard and cam belt covers further contribute to weight reduction and the Monster S4Rs Testastretta complies with all Euro3 emission control standards.
The Ducati Monster S4Rs Testastretta is available in red, black, and new pearl white and is fitted with a dash that has the same instruments as the S2R, but its own dedicated graphics.
