Rutter takes chequered flag at Macau
Honda rider Michael Rutter has equalled Ron Haslam's all-time record by recording his sixth victory in the Macau Motorcycle Grand Prix last weekend.
Piloting the 1,000cc Red Bull Honda the 32-year-old Brit had opened a two-second lead by lap four and led for the entirety of the 15-lap event. Haslam's record for the historic race was set in 1987.
This was the 39th running of the Macau Grand Prix, which takes place on the streets of a former Portuguese island colony off the South East corner of China.

Rutter led home a British Isles top five ahead of John McGuiness of Stobart Honda in second and Yamaha rider Les Shand.
Welshman Ian Lougher brought his Honda into fourth place, closely followed by MSS Discovery Racing Kawasaki rider Stephen Thompson in fifth.
The weekend was overshadowed by sadness though after the 45-year-old French rider, Bruno Bonhuil suffered fatal injuries in an accident during a warm-up session. As a mark of respect, six European riders retired from the race after the opening lap.
Bonhuil had qualified 20th for the Team of Paris Suzuki outfit and fell heavily on the exit of Mandarin corner.
A statement from the Macau Grand Prix committee read: "Mr Bonhuil, a Frenchman, was 45-years-old and is survived by his wife and daughter. The Macau GP committee extend their deepest sympathy to his family and friends."
