Honda provides simulators in showrooms
Honda is set to introduce new motorcycle riding simulators into its showrooms.
The company believes the technology will aid consumer awareness of both the pleasure and the dangers of riding a motorbike.
The device is a simplified and cheaper version of one Honda had running in 1993.

The new version contains the main controls of a motorcycle linked up to a PC, which will take the rider through a number of different environments, depending on ability.
The system can help the novice learn the basic controls needed to ride or test more advanced riders with dangerous situations they would encounter on the road.
The Honda Motorcycle Riding Trainer is seen as a strong indication of the company's continued support for the European Road Safety Charter which it signed in April 2004, the only company to do so.
Yasuhisa Maekawa, the Honda signatory to the charter told Auto Industry: "For motorcycles, we now have a double safety initiative under the charter, the Honda Motorcycle Riding Simulator being used to educate those wanting to ride along with the significant increase in the application of advanced braking systems for the benefit of those already riding."
The company hopes that all UK showrooms will contain the technology within three years.
