Ladies, on yer bike

An exclusive women-only off-road motorcycling course is being offered by BMW.

The two-day course will be run by the firm's top instructor, Simon Pavey, on April 23rd and 24th 2006. It follows the success of a set of trial lessons earlier this year.

According to MCN the two days of training at the 4,000 acres of Walters Arena Enduro Park will provide challenges to every level of rider ability and experience.

Three different BMW motorcycle models will be used during the sessions, depending on rider confidence and ability. Participants will be able to choose between the F650 GS, F650 GS Dakar and more powerful R1200GS bikes.

Those who want to ride the BMW R1200GS for the weekend will have to pay a premium for it though at £395 for the two days, compared to £360 for a run out on the F650 and F650 Dakar models.

These prices include bike hire, two days instruction, limited insurance, meals, refreshments and of course all fuel.

Accommodation and evening meals are available nearby, but are not included in the price.

Pavey himself is an accomplished off-road rider and will be competing in his fifth Dakar rally this year, along with fellow BMW instructor Nick Plumb.
