Honda offers bikers special deals

Bikers hoping to invest in a new machine but not at a new price may want to read about Honda's plans to make purchasing a new model easier.

Until March 31st, Honda is offering special finance deals called Ride Out The Credit Crunch on ten of its models.

Payments are spread over 48 months, starting at £40 for 125cc offerings and rising to £205 per month for the latest 2009 model.

The typical annual percentage rate is between 8.2 per cent and 12.7 per cent, with finance packages allowing for individuals to tailor their schemes, motorcycle insurance holders may be interested to read.

Steve Martindale, general manager of Honda Motorcycles, said: "We know that times are tough for people at the moment.

"But, we also know that motorcyclists are still keen to look at potential new bikes now, in preparation for the warmer months, so we hope that these finance offers help to make those new bike dreams still within easy reach of people's pockets."

Models available with the new scheme include various specs of the economical Hornet model and a version of the Fireblade, which is fitted with the world's first advanced braking system made for sports bikes.

Mr Martindale added that riding a bike is a practical means of getting around as well as being a fun activity.

The firm recently attended London's Motorcycle Show where it unveiled a new line-up of impressive cars.
