Bikers to entertain at carnival
A group of bikers in west Leeds might want to ensure their bike insurance cover is up-to-date ahead of this year's Pudsey Carnival where the riders are set to perform.
May 16th will see a host of entertainment laid on in the town as the carnival floats parade through the streets leading participants to Queens Park, where they can get involved in activities free of charge, the Yorkshire Evening Post reports.
Under the theme Music and Dance, various family games will be played and a motorbike display team is set to wow the crowds.
The show is organised by volunteers who will also be collecting for charity - this year's nominated cause being the Northern Star Group, which uses performing arts to work with youngsters.
Organiser Alexis Barrett said: "The carnival always brings in the crowds and only takes place through the hard work of volunteers and the support of local businesses and the community."
The event will also see the new carnival queen crowned and usually concludes with a grand draw, in which people have the chance to win a variety of prizes.
