Bike show cancelled amid low take-up
Bike insurance holders in Hampshire may be disappointed to read that a biking event has been cancelled.
The Great Netley Marsh Sort-Out was supposed to take place in May, but has been suspended as interest in the bike show dwindled.
The Hampshire Chronicle reports that the show could have been a dream for motorcycle fans, as displays were set to take place and those looking for spare parts would have had a field day with all the stalls.
Classic Bike Shows, which organised the event, said it had struggled to get people to take part in some of the categories, such as vintage cars.
Nick Mowbray, exhibition manager, said that it was a shame the event had to be cancelled.
"We had low up-take in different types of stands: in a perfect world we would have liked 100 of each category," he said.
"This was a big concern because if you were a car enthusiast and there was only one stand, you would want your money back."
However, motorcycle insurance policyholders may be pleased to read that the 16th Eurojumble event is still scheduled to take place in September this year.
Motorcycles, parts, clothing and literature will all be on sale at the event.
