Suzuki launches superbike and offers machines in contest

Motorcycle insurance policyholders in need of a new bike but without the necessary funds might want to take part in a competition organised by Suzuki.

The motorbike maker is putting 124 machines up for grabs in a guess the reg competition to mark the launch of the new GSX-R1000 superbike.

Suzuki states that the model has undergone the biggest change in its nine-year history, transforming its look with a shorter wheelbase, redesigned engine, revised styling and racetrack ready suspension.

The all-new model set the fastest time at the recent British Superbike tests and has shown its potential on racetracks across the world, the firm says, adding that "the 'boss' really is back in the hotly contested Supersport class".

Earlier this month, Suzuki announced additions to its zero per cent finance deal on its GSX-R1000 model.

The deal enables riders to opt for the bike for a £1 deposit and 42 months at zero per cent, with the offer recently extended to the GSX-R600 and 750 models.

Commenting at the time of the announcement, Suzuki GB's George Cheeseman said: "We are delighted to announce these additions to our already popular campaign."

He added: With the offer including the GSX-R600 and 750 models, plus many of our special edition variants too, there's huge choice for those looking at our iconic sports bike range."
