Honda celebrates racing history
Racing brand Honda is set to mark its 50th anniversary by launching commemorative merchandise; motorcycle insurance holders may be pleased to read.
It has been 50 years since the firm entered the racing sphere at the Isle of Man TT in 1959.
This year's campaign is set to be celebrated with the launch of items, including a previously unpublished image of the 1959 Isle of Man TT team, which was taken behind the main pit straight grandstand.
In addition, the firm has teamed up with the Isle of Man Post Office to issue a set of commemorative stamps which will enter circulation in May.
The stamps will showcase legendary Honda riders throughout the ages, comprising Naomi Taniguchi, Mike Hailwood, Alex George, Joey Dunlop, Steve Hislop and present-day 14-times TT winner John McGuinness.
A new 50p piece is also being issued on the island, depicting Honda's rider John McGuinness on a CBR1000RR Fireblade.
Meanwhile, the firm has created a commemorative plaque to be installed at original TT team's garage in Onchan, which will be unveiled in June.
Honda Motorcycles recently announced that its zero per cent finance deals will be available until June 30th.
