Karro just misses best championship finish
The Grand Prix of Benelux at Valkenswarrd, near Eindhoven in Holland, saw MVR-D Suzuki rider Mattis Karro just miss out on his best World Championship finish of the year.
Finishing in ninth place in the first race, the rider made it to sixth place in the second event before crashing out a lap and a half from the finish, motorbike insurance policyholders may be disappointed to read.
"Mattis rode extremely well and it's frustrating to know that just a lap and a half separated us from a fantastic overall result," commented team manager, Mark Chamberlain.
Meanwhile MX1 racer James Noble was also disappointed after being held up in the first race of the day to make 14th place.
The second race saw the rider have two crashes, which delayed him and resulted in a 16th place finish.
Noble finished the day 15th overall.
"James just had one of those weekends, which happen from time to time. The encouraging thing was his pace, showing that he can run with the big guns, if he can avoid the hold-ups," Mr Chamberlain added.
Earlier this month, MVR-D Suzuki rider Carl Nunn took the overall win at the opening round of the Red Bull Pro series in Cornwall.
