Honda confirms full line-up for BSB second round
Motorcycle insurance policyholders backing the Honda team in this year's British Superbike Championship (BSB) may be pleased to read that a full line-up has been confirmed for the second round.
Racing will take place at Cheshire's Oulton Park this bank holiday weekend, beginning May 2nd.
Honda rider Josh Brookes was the last to be confirmed as his visa application was delayed, with the rider saying the whole situation had made concentrating on his physical and mental form difficult.
He added: "Over this next 24 hours my aim is to clear my head of the visa stresses of the last few months and get focused for getting back on the Fireblade and being competitive."
Havier Beltran, HM Plant Honda team manager, said that the team is delighted the visa was authorised in time for the race.
"Consistency is going to be key to winning in each of the championships within the BSB series and I'm confident our riders and machinery, in the CBR1000RR and CBR600RR, are capable of delivering further great performances and exciting racing as they did at Brands Hatch," he stated.
Meanwhile, teammate Steve Plater said he is looking forward to the Cheshire event as Oulton Park is one of his favourite tracks.
Team Honda's Glen Richards will start the race in the third spot, with Plater in seventh.
