Top three finishes for Honda superstock riders
The British Superstock 1000 Championship saw Honda racers achieve impressive second and third places last weekend.
Motorcycle insurance policyholders rooting for the team over the bank holiday weekend may have been pleased with the action, seeing Steve Brogan take second place and John McGuiness scoop the third spot.
The pair led the race for 12 of the 15 laps, with McGuiness commenting that its feels "great" to be back on the rostrum after not achieving a short circuit race podium in two years.
"I know I'm not the spring chicken of the paddock but I'm feeling great and am real happy to be riding well and up at the front," he added.
Meanwhile, Brogan - who is currently second in the Metzeler National Superstock Championship standings - stated that his bike has been performing well and needed few modifications for the race.
"The Fireblade has been 'on it' all weekend and I've hardly had to make any changes to the set-up from last year which is great," he commented.
Havier Beltran, HM Plant Honda team manager, commented that both men's performances had been strong, highlighting the dominance of the Fireblade's competitiveness.
