Easy Rider to star at Goodwood
Hollywood icon Peter Fonda will be joining the many motorcycle insurance policyholders in attendance at the Goodwood Festival of Speed this year.
The Easy Rider star will be reunited with his chopper bike at the West Sussex event to mark the 40th anniversary of the film.
An influential film of the 1960s, Easy Rider was co-produced by Fonda and also starred Dennis Hopper and Jack Nicholson.
In the film, two young bikers set off on a pan-America trip to find meaning in their lives, encountering bigotry and hatred but also alternative lifestyles along their way.
The bike will ride up the famous Goodwood 1.16-mile hillclimb at the festival and is one of a number of customised choppers to attend the event, also including Speed Demon and Zeroesque, which will take part in the Cartier Style et Luxe design concours to showcase the most beautiful but rarely seen motorcycles and cars.
Running from July 3rd to 5th, the Festival of Speed will see Audi celebrate 100 years of business, while Mini will see in its 50th anniversary at the event.
Show organisers have commented that this year's festival will be the biggest and best ever.
