Suzuki MVR-D Suzuki rider Carl Nunn achieved a strong finish at the home Grand Prix recently.

The Brit was entered as a wildcard and rode his RM-Z450 into 14th place in race one and tenth place in race two.

Bike insurance policyholders may have been among the 35,000 spectators who watched the action live at the Mallory Park track in Leicestershire, seeing the rider end the day as the top Briton in MX1.

"I went into Mallory with nothing to prove really and just wanted to enjoy the experience," Nunn commented.

"Race one was good, but I knew I could go better and did so in the second race."

Team manager Mark Chamberlain stated that the team had not set any goals to achieve during the weekend of racing but added that Nunn rode well and showed his potential.

"It was nice to compete on the world stage with no pressures and to come away with two strong results, ahead of some serious competition is just great," Mr Chamberlain concluded.

Suzuki also tasted victory recently when stunt rider Mattie Griffin took the first win of the 2009 UK Motorcycle Freestyle Championship.
