Potentially among those most in need of bike insurance, Suzuki stunt rider, Mattie Griffin has taken the opening win of this year's Motorcycle Freestyle Championship.
Last weekend saw the Galway-based rider impress the crowd and judges to scoop the top spot on the day with his Suzuki GSX-R600 based machine.
Bike insurance customers who attended Elvington Airfield over the weekend will have seen the rider achieve the highest qualifying score to secure the round victory.
"Obviously I'm delighted with the win, but the series lead is important and I couldn't start in a better way," he commented.
Griffin is currently ranked fifth in the world for his stunt riding capabilities and is Ireland's number one.
"With the following rounds being held over the summer at the Santa Pod dragstrip in Northamptonshire and again at Elvington, I look forward to continuing my form, while entertaining crowds across the UK this summer," he added.
Later today, the 29-year-old rider will be celebrating his victory with a homecoming show at the Race Village in Galway Docks.
Griffin first got into stunt riding after building a stunt bike from a 98 Honda CBR Fireblade in 2004.
