Bike insurance customers may have been out in force earlier this month for Yamaha's inaugural Masterclass event.
Mallory Park MX GP circuit in Leicestershire hosted the day on June 2nd to celebrate the launch of the 2009 Team Replica YZ450F.
During the event, Yamaha owners were given the chance to lap the GP circuit while receiving tuition from Yamaha Monster Factory rider and multi-World MX Championship race winner Josh Coppins.
Overseeing coaching on the day was veteran racer Barry Johnson, while UTAG Dixon Yamaha newcomer Mel Pocock was on hand to give an expert performance of how best to tackle the GP circuit.
Karl Radley, marketing coordinator for Yamaha Motor UK, said that the event had been "fantastic".
"It's great to give something back to our customers and to be able to ride a GP level circuit with top level rider Josh Coppins must have been incredible for these guys," he added.
Yamaha's replica model has been developed with Yamaha Racing and the Yamaha Monster Motocross Team and is available in limited numbers.
The firm recently launched its Majesty 400 offering too, which it states combines luxury, style and effectiveness.
