Thousands of people, many of whom will have had bike insurance, filled the streets of Lincoln at the weekend as they enjoyed the city's annual celebration of the motorbike.
According to the Lincolnshire Echo, an estimated 5,000 people attended the fourth annual Lincoln Big Bike Fest at Brayford Pool, where hundreds of motorbikes, new and old, were on display.
Rachel Hanson from the Lincolnshire Club of the Wolds Bikers, which helped organise the event, told the newspaper: "I think it proves so popular because it's open to everyone no matter how much or how little they know. The fact that we get riders from all over the UK and even some foreign countries is a testament to its popularity."
Alongside the motorbikes, visitors to the event were entertained by a selection of live music and a variety of trade stands, offering people with bike insurance the opportunity to find the perfect accessories to their vehicle.
From 12th to 18th July this year, the Motor Cycle Industry Association is hosting National Motorcycle Week, which the organisation says aims to highlight the positive aspects of motorcycling including environmental and social benefits.
The association is promoting the event by urging people to get more out of life, pointing out that bikes can prove a much more efficient and cheap way to travel during the recession.
