A new motorcycle race meeting has been arranged for bike insurance customers to watch in Ireland this summer.

On Tuesday July 14th the Irish Superbike Championship has scheduled another event to take place at Kirkistown race track, hosted courtesy of the Motorcycle Road Racing Club of Ireland in conjunction with Killinchy and District Motorcycle Club.

The day will include the Irish Racer Irish Superbikes, Supersport 600cc, Isaac Agnew Van Centre Supertwins and Supersport 400cc.

Visitors will also be able to watch practice from 09:00 BST before racing gets underway at 12:30 BST. Tickets will cost £10 for adults with concessions and senior citizens going free.

It was revealed earlier this month that Irish Superbike star James Dickson has signed for leading team, Mar-Train Racing, to complete his 2009 season, leaving the VSK Yamaha team.

He told the Belfast Telegraph: "The atmosphere in the camp hadn't been great, to be honest, so I gave Tim Martin, from Mar-Train, a ring and we sorted a deal."
