Motorcycle brand Suzuki has promised to extend its major finance campaign until the end of September to help consumers through the credit crunch.

As Britons struggle to afford large purchases during the economic downturn, Suzuki has said it will extend its interest free offer on its 14-strong model range until September 30th.

Bike insurance policyholders will be able to get their hands on a GSX-R600 and 750 model, a new Bandit machine, V-Strom 650 variants or even a DR125SM model with a deposit of £500.

"This campaign has been a great success for us and so it made perfect sense to extend it for a further three months," commented Suzuki's Paul de Lusignan.

"With our dealers able to offer bespoke payments to suit personal needs, it really has become an exceptional offer in a tough market," he added.

For example, riders can invest in a new GSX-R600 with a price of £7,703 for a £500 deposit and 35 payments of £200.08, with a final payment of £200.20.

The firm recently announced it would launch its latest enduro racer - the RMX450Z - in the autumn. It follows the release of the luxury Burgman 400 earlier in June.
