Trowbridge rider Victor Cox is keen to get new parts for his bike to give him the best possible chance at forwarding his professional career.
The motorbike insurance customer is preparing for the ViSK British Superbike season at Knockhill but is still waiting on some parts, the Wiltshire Times reports.
Cox, who spent the last three seasons racing in the British Superstock class , said that he likes racing at Knockhill and called it a "good little track" unlike Snetterton which can take it out of vehicles.
He told the newspaper about the difficulties he is having because of the delay in getting the right parts for his bike.
"It's difficult for us at the minute because we are not having any chance to go out on the bike between meetings so when we get to a track we are having to start from scratch," he said.
"There is a lot of work to be done on the bike between now and then so hopefully we will get the engine tuned and a few other new parts."
Cox added that he is determined to keep improving and stressed that with the right bike parts and engine he is confident he can do well.
Fellow bike insurance customer Jenny Tinmouth told the Liverpool Echo earlier this month how much she enjoyed performing at the Isle of Man TT in May, calling the race "amazing".
