A recent classic car show in Walton attracted hoards of petrol heads eager to see a display of fine vehicles, including a selection of motorbikes.

Around 4,000 people and 460 classic vehicles turned out for the event, held at Bath House Meadow, which the chairman described as the "biggest and best" showing of its seven-year history.

The Walton Classic Car Show presented vehicles from pre-1947 to Rolls-Royces, motorbikes and custom cars, giving motorbike insurance customers a range of autos to admire, reports the Gazette.

Event chairman John Halls told the newspaper: "We are delighted that so many people turned up and that it went so well. We had so many cars that we had to open another field and all three car parks.

"A lot of them said they will be coming back next year."

Fans of classic motorbikes were also given the chance to see vintage vehicles earlier this year at a Burnham-On-Sea garden centre.

On Father's Day buses, motorbikes and vans of all shapes and sizes were showcased at Sanders GardenWorld in Somerset, as part of the Vintage and Classic Vehicle Weekend.
