Suzuki fans may be pleased with the firm's teams during the current motorsport season, in which the brand has largely dominated the standings.

Most recently, MVR-D Suzuki riders Mattis Karro and Natalie Kane competed at the Swedish Grand Prix, which saw Karro scoop eighth place at the flag, despite starting in 20th.

Meanwhile, in the Women's World Championship, Natalie Kane had her best weekend of the year to date and achieved a third place podium finish, which may be pleasing news to female bike insurance policyholders rooting for the 17-year-old.

She described the result as a great confidence boost and team manager Mark Chamberlain said he was proud of both riders.

Last weekend also saw the Relentless Suzuki MX team end round five of the British Masters Championship with a hat trick of podium finishes in front of bike insurance policyholders and fans in Cornwall.

The team's youngest rider Matt Burrows took the second spot overall, while Martin Barr took third place in the MX2 event. Teammate Scott Columb didn't quite make the podium - finishing in fifth - but fortunes were reversed in the MX1 round.

Columb raced to second place overall for the day, while Barr dropped down to 16th place when a previous leg injury flared up again.

Commenting on the events, team manager Rob Hooper said: "Another good day of racing, with all riders challenging for top positions. Martin in particular dug deep and his results are impressive considering how much treatment he underwent last week in order to be able to ride."

He added that with some more treatment, he expects Barr to be up to the next Maxxis British Championship challenge, which takes place in Lyng.

In the youth racing segment, Team Doodson Suzuki youth rider Scott Mathia gave a strong performance at the fifth round of the British Masters championship at Landrake in Cornwall.

Day one saw the RM-Z250 rider achieve two second place finishes and a holeshot in race three. Race four saw the youngster finish in the third spot, taking a podium.

Mathia now needs eight points in the coming round to take the championship title.

The same meeting saw Doodson Suzuki-backed riders Liam Wright and James Dunn also take to the track in the MXY2 class, with Wright having the stronger performance.

Two third place finishes, a runner-up spot and a seventh place finish saw the rider take his place on the podium in third place overall for the round.
