Hollywood heart throb Brad Pitt has been spotted out and about in Los Angeles on his vintage motorbike.

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button actor, who will need motorbike insurance, took his ride for a tour of Hollywood, but was spotted by paparazzi.

Pitt, 45, stopped at a set of red lights to shake the hand of an adoring fan and was kitted out in a gold helmet and leather jacket, despite the LA summer sun.

The actor's bike of choice was a low-slung vintage ride, known as a chopper, with an over-sized front wheel.

It is not the first time the actor, who famously dates Angelina Jolie, has been spotted out on his motorbike.

Earlier this month the actor went for a ride on the vehicle and broke down, in the full view of the paparazzi.

The motorbike insurance customer tried to fix the vehicle himself, before admitting defeat and abandoning the vehicle while he caught a ride with one of the photographers, reports the Daily Mail.

Pitt revealed to W magazine recently what the appeal of riding a motorbike is.

"This is my anonymity,' he told the publication. "With it, I’m just another a**hole on the streets."
