Ducati launches 130bhp monster
Ducati has launched the Monster S4R, the latest naked superbike from the Italian manufacturer.
The bike comes with a Testastretta engine, which is surrounded by a trellis frame and "the unmistakable styling that has always characterised a Monster", according to Ducati.
With twin aluminium exhausts, triangular oil cooler and a variety of carbon fibre parts, the S4R is unique among the Monster range.
It comes with a 996cc liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, L-twin, Desmoquattro engine, which has been derived from Ducati's range of World Superbike models.

Furthermore, the Monster S4R has a 43 mm fully adjustable Showa front fork with low friction titanium-nitride treatment. The rear fork is also a fully adjustable Showa with shock handle suspension duties.
The footrest have been positioned 70 mm closer higher, giving the rider increased ground clearance on cornering.
For track days, the passenger pegs are easily removed as they are mounted on separate hangers.
Both silencers are positioned high up on the right hand side of the bike, which gives it an "aggressive and powerful new look".
Ducati has called the Monster S4R a "dream machine, with a look and feel that satisfies even before you twist the throttle".
