Plant Honda Superbike racers Karl Muggeridge and Steve Brogan have spoken of their frustration at not achieving better finishes in the recent round of the British Superbike Championship.

The Brands Hatch event saw the two riders stand in for injured Glen Richards and Josh Brookes to deliver a competitive performance but fail to clinch the podium steps.

Number 31 rider Muggeridge commented he is currently playing catch up, after achieving fourth, seventh and sixth place in each respective race.

"My race positions are not where I want to be as I do believe I could have challenged for a podium, but it's early days and with a bit more time on the bike at Cadwell we can hopefully build on my three top ten finishes from this weekend and get on the podium," he stated.

Meanwhile, Brogie - number 19 - said that his pace had been good throughout the event and he feels he is capable of finishing within the top five, if not taking a step on the podium.

"I'm not disappointed, but I'm not satisfied either, as I know I did my best for the time I've had on the bike and I've been finishing ahead of some of the BSB established and regular riders," he added.

The rider took the 14th, eighth and 11th spots in the event.

Both racers will take to the track at Cadwell Park between August 29th and 31st.
