Beware rolling contract clauses

Many vehicles insurance policies have clauses that will see policies rolling into a new year without the holder's consent, one expert has warned.
According to financial advice website lovemoney.com, bike insurance customers should check the small print of their policies to ensure they are aware of such conditions.
Failing to do could see bikers take out a new policy, believing the previous cover to have expired and ending up doubly insured, paying out twice.
Getting a refund on one of the policies is bound to be a "nightmare", says the website, and notes a few simple checks can easily avert the situation.
It also advises against accepting inflated renewal premiums, saying that if bikers and motorists in general shop around they may be able to find cheaper policies.
"Spend a little time applying for new quotes (and don't forget to add on your extra year of no-claims discount, if applicable) and chances are you will be able to find equivalent (if not better) cover, for less," says the website.
Earlier this week, drivers of vehicles of two and four wheels were advised of the financial savings that can be made by shopping around for insurance by the Detroit News.
