The latest round of the Red Bull Pro Nationals in Kent saw Relentless Suzuki MX rider Martin Barr return to form to take the second spot.

Atop his RM-Z250, the Irishman scooped the runner-up place overall at the Canada Heights event in the MX2 class.

The first race saw the rider take third place, followed by second place in the following race.

Barr commented that he was pleased with his performance on the day, despite missing out on the top spot.

"The bike ran great and despite the injury to my foot last week from a hard landing, I'm feeling good," he said, adding: "I'm confident we can push for more podiums and wins throughout the rest of the season."

In the recent Hawkstone Park event, Barr took the 12th place in MX1 and fifth place in MX2 overall.

Meanwhile, Suzuki rider Scott Columb had less luck in the MX1 class, enduring a crash in race one that saw him drop from fourth place to 14th. However, the rider - who was suffering from a cold - ended the day in the fourth spot.

He commented: "With the first race crash, things were looking bleak, but thankfully I managed to put that behind me in the second race for a reasonable result."
