Motorbike specialist Suzuki is offering fans of the brand a chance to be part of its centenary celebrations at this year's International Motorcycle and Scooter Show in Birmingham.

To mark the 100-year milestone and 25 years of the GSX-R, the firm has launched an online competition inviting bikers to submit their favourite Suzuki photo.

The winning image will be placed on display at the manufacturer's stand at the National Exhibition Centre from November 27th to December 6th.

In addition, the person who sends in the top-rated submission will be awarded a pair of complimentary tickets to the event.

Suzuki's UK website currently has 100 picture spaces to be filled by the closing date of November 6th, all of which will be ranked by bike enthusiasts.

George Cheeseman, the company's marketing manager for the region, said: "While 100 years is a huge milestone for Suzuki, none of this would have happened without the loyal following of our customers.

"For this reason our desire is to give something back, offering a unique pictorial story of Suzuki through our customers' eyes."

In related news, last week saw bikers clad in pink underwear raise thousands of pounds for charity during a sponsored ride in Scotland.

The Kilmarnock Standard reports that around 90 people got involved with the Breast Way Round event in aid of Macmillan Cancer Relief.
