Suzuki fans may be pleased to read that MVR-D Suzuki's Carl Nunn has taken the Red Bull Pro National MX1 Championship title.

The Suzuki RM-Z450 rider achieved a pair of solid results at last weekend's round at Wakes Colne in Essex.

Bike insurance policyholders may have been among the 5,000-strong crowd that watched the racer battle it out with rival James Noble to become the overall champion, taking two runner-up spots in the races.

"I've enjoyed this series hugely. It's not been easy, but we achieved what we set out to do - lift the trophy," Nunn commented.

He added that his bike had performed without fault and commended the team that helped him ride to glory.

"It's been one of my most memorable seasons and I'd just like to thank everyone involved who has supported me," the rider concluded.

Nunn also scooped the Van Slam in the same day as taking the Red Bull Pro Series and was congratulated by team manager Mark Chamberlain.

Meanwhile, the Relentless Suzuki MX team also recently achieved strong finishes at the final round of the Wulfsport British Masters Series, with Martin Barr end the series fourth in MX1 and taking the runner-up position in MX2.
