The MVR-D Suzuki racing team have announced that rider Carl Nunn will not take part in the final round of the Maxxis British Motocross Championship due to injury.
Nunn has also been forced to withdraw from the upcoming Motocross of Nations event, after fracturing his left arm during a race.
The accident was his first ever race crash, which happened at the ACU British MMX Championship, held at Culham in Oxfordshire yesterday (September 21st).
He spun off in the opening laps of the race as he attempted to move up from his third place start.
Nunn's team says he has already enjoyed a "fantastic season" of racing after winning the Red Bull Pro National Championship only last weekend.
Shortly after winning Nunn had commented: "I've enjoyed this series hugely. It's not been easy, but we achieved what we set out to do - lift the trophy."
The Suzuki team manager Mark Chamberlain said: "Carl is bitterly disappointed that his season has ended this way. He was really looking forward to representing his country at the Nations event and doing a good job.
"The main focus now is to make sure the injury is treated in the correct manner, while getting back to training as soon as possible."
