Motorbike manufacturer Suzuki has confirmed the attendance of the Hayabusa's original designer Koji Yoshiura, at the bike's tenth anniversary celebrations.
Held at the Santa Pod Raceway on October 10th and 11th, Mr Yoshiura will join thousands of fans of one of the world's most recognisable bikes for a mass birthday party.
The Northamptonshire drag strip will host a range of attractions, including the chance for bike insurance customers and other riders to have a go on the track.
Announcing the news, Suzuki's director of sales and marketing in the UK David Taylor said: "We are delighted to welcome Yoshiura-san to our Hayabusa celebrations. As we all know motorcycling is a passionate subject, but only a very small number of machines ever achieve cult status.
"The Hayabusa is a hugely distinctive machine, which it is fair to say has achieved this status. To be able to welcome the man that designed such a legendary machine to a UK event is a real honour."
Mr Yoshiura will attend on both days, joined on Saturday by three times British Superbike Champion, John Reynolds, who will be in action on the drag strip in the morning.
The Santa Pod raceway in Podington has hosted a number of other high profile events in recent months, including the televised FIA European Drag Racing Championships.
