Suzuki has released the final specification details of its new bike, the GSX1250FA.

The machine is a larger version of its sibling, the GSX650F, which was released in 2007 and went on to win the Motorcycle News Sports Tourer of the Year award.

Fitted with the firm's 1255cc powerplant, the model is built around a traditional classic tube frame and combines reassured stability with sporty handling.

According to Suzuki, the model produces excellent throttle response as a result of its sophisticated digital fuel injection system, while also offering reduced friction.

The model is also set to be fitted with a range of useful features, such as an adjustable seat, gear position indicator and shift light.

Suzuki GB marketing manager George Cheeseman said the firm is delighted to launch its latest model to the 2010 range.

"The GSX650F has proven to be extremely popular and we have no doubt that the 1250 will follow in its footsteps," he said.

"While it's too early to talk of a price, we expect the new bike to be competitive, offering a versatile and sporty ride that doesn't bust the bank."

Earlier this month, Suzuki announced a new accessory pack for its GSX-R1000 model.
