The Relentless Suzuki MX team struggled last weekend during the last leg of the Maxxis British Motocross Championship at Landrake.

Bike insurance policyholders in attendance at the event may have seen rider Martin Barr show a promising start in MX2, qualifying the fourth quickest.

However, during the race the biker slipped down the running order, finishing in sixth place and 16th on the day, missing out on a podium.

He commented: "When the track was wet, the bike felt great, but as conditions dried, I really struggled to find a front-end set-up."

The rider added that by the second race, he was lacking in the confidence he needed to push harder.

Meanwhile, MX1 racer Scott Columb qualified in 14th place and scooped an eighth and 12th place finish on the day.

"When you consider some of the great results we've had this year, it's a shame it had to finish this way," commented team manager Rob Hooper.

However, on the plus-side, MVR-D Suzuki rider Mattis Karro returned to the top step of the podium at the track in Cornwall and Natalie Kane scooped another win in the ACU Ladies British Motocross Championship.
