An automotive industry charity has announced that the star prize for its annual motorbike draw will be a Honda Fireblade.
Winner of the Fast Bikes' Sportsbike of the Year Award for the past two years and a hit with bike insurance customers and reviewers alike, the machine will be awarded to the winner of this year's Ben National Motorcycle Draw.
The Fireblade also won the Ride magazine's Rider Power Survey and last year it took top honours at the 2008 Metzeler National Superstock 1000 title.
Founded in 1905 by Arthur Wilson, trade charity Ben offers financial, emotional and practical help and support to more than 15,000 men, women and children.
It recently awarded trade publication Aftermarket with a trophy acknowledging that the magazine had provided continual general coverage, free advertising space and helped raise funds and awareness.
The director of the organisation's fundraising and communications team Charles Davis thanked Honda for its generosity.
"After such a difficult year for the motor industry, such gestures show how important supporting Ben is to the industry. We hope that the appeal of such an iconic bike will generate significant funds in support of Ben and wish everybody who enters the very best of luck."
