Japanese motorbike firm Yamaha has unveiled its latest Super Tenere machine at the Tokyo Motor Show.
Mixing rough, cutting-edge technology and stylish looks, the firm promises the new machine - dubbed the Lord of Adventures - will withstand the toughest conditions.
Throughout the 1980s and 1990s, Yamaha's Tenere bikes secured a strong Paris to Dakar Rally record and the new offering promises to give riders the same spirit of adventure.
Integrating new levels of state-of-the-art engineering suitable for long-distance touring, all-new features include traction control, ABS and a unified brake system.
Online motorbike magazine Cycle News says the new machine, with its large displacement twin-cylinder off-road, could rival bikes from KTM and BMW.
Asked when the new Super Tenere would be available for sale, Yamaha representatives replied with "polite smiles", claims the publication.
Running until November 4th, the Tokyo Motor Show is also exhibiting machines from a host of other Japanese manufacturers.
Honda has announced it will feature six vehicles at the event, while Suzuki will display its stylish Gladius 400 ABS model and the Boulevard 400 cruiser, among others.
