Suzuki has announced a fresh look for its 2010 cruiser range, introducing the brand-new Intruder M1500 and M800 and confirming a return of the C800.

The Japanese motorcycle manufacturer claims the new additions and re-introduction will make its offering "one of the freshest cruiser ranges" in the industry.

Bike insurance customers are promised machines with the latest technology, featuring "classic lines and punchy engines".

Heading up the new models is the M1500, built in the style of its larger sibling the M1800R, but featuring added ease of use and manoeuvrability.

With 80BHP and 125NM of torque, the 1500 may be compact but it still offers high performance thanks to its 54 degree, four-valve V-Twin engine.

Again echoing the look of the M1800R cruisers, the new M800 offers cutting-edge performance for middleweight customers, with fuel-injection, a two-bit processor engine control module and integrated headlight cowl and instrument cluster.

Finally, the more traditionally-styled C800 returns with sleek valanced guards, chrome fittings and all-new features such as shaft drive.

In related news, the Motorcycle Industry Association has urged the government to focus on training rather than testing when it reviews EU licensing proposals.
