Children at a nursery in Norfolk have been given the chance to compare a number of vehicles used by the emergency services as part of their education.
Infants and youngsters at the Swaffham VC Infant and Nursery school recently enjoyed the task in their playground when members of the fire brigade and police, as well as the postal service, came to visit with their cars, vans and motorbikes.
The Watton and Swaffham Times reports that the children were encouraged to compare the design of each vehicle and think about how they help their riders and drivers carry out their jobs.
Budding motorcycle insurance policyholders may have been among the children currently studying vehicles as part of their Key Stage One curriculum.
"They spent a fabulous afternoon inspecting and touching different parts of each vehicle and asking a wide range of direct questions to find out about our current topic," commented teacher and event organiser Caroline Smith.
Among the vehicles on display were a customised Land Rover and a Ducati motorcycle.
In related news, it recently emerged that the government's Think! safety campaign will be spending £1.69 million of ensuring the wellbeing on youngster's on the UK's roads.
