Ewan McGregor is keen to get back on the open road with his motorbike, it has been claimed.

The Star Wars actor has spoken of his desire to get back on the road, reports the Press Association, after undertaking a number of adventures for television with his friend Charley Boorman.

Speaking in Hollywood, where he was hosting the Go Go Gala, the star spoke about how much he had enjoyed his trips on his motorbike and hinted that he could be tempted to take on similar challenges in the future.

While McGregor may not need to worry too much about finding cheap motorbike insurance, anyone wishing to emulate him by undertaking their own long trip should consider looking around for the best motorbike insurance deals.

"I had such an amazing experience travelling through Russia and central Asia and down through Africa that it would be crazy not to do more because I really enjoy it," McGregor told the news agency.

The actor starred in The Long way Round and The Long Way Down with his friend Boorman, who has since gone on to undertake his own adventures for television.
