A Lancashire biker is gearing up for a cross-country ride to raise money for charity.
Simon Law will travel 3,000 miles across the borders of Thailand, Myanmar, Laos and Cambodia with brother-in-law Chris Morris during the six-week adventure, Pendle Today reports.
The pair is hoping to generate £15,000 for two charities.
Severn Hospice in Shewsbury is one of the two good causes chosen as the facility cared for Mr Law's mother during her last months before she lost her battle with cancer.
"My family owe a great deal to the people who helped my mother, so this is our way of thanking them, ensuring the hospice has financial support to continue helping others," the biker told the publication.
He added that training for the journey has been hard work but the trip is likely to be a memorable experience.
The second charity selected is Christel House, which works to put an end to child poverty across the globe.
Mr Law, who will complete the journey on an accessorised Aprilia 650cc Trailie, might want to ensure that bike insurance is among his list of essentials for the trip as cover can help provide peace of mind for riders abroad.
